The Westland Lynx is a British multi-purpose military helicopter designed and built by Westland Helicopters at its factory in Yeovil. Originally intended as a utility craft for both civil and naval usage, military interest led to the development of both battlefield and naval variants. Primarily serving in the battlefield utility, anti-armor, search and rescue and anti-submarine warfare roles the Lynx is now in military service in over 10 countries. In 1986 the Lynx set the world speed record for a helicopter of 400 miles per hour, which it still holds to this day. The AH-7 is an upgraded version for the Army Air Corps, with some also used by the Fleet Air Arm in support of the Royal Marines. This model has been hand crafted from mahogany and comes with a high gloss finish with matching stand. Model supplied boxed. To assemble, push rotor's into mountings and stand and mountings into pre drilled holes on the body of the aircraft. No glue required.
